There are some superb pens on the market today regardless of the budget you may have available. Two market leaders are Lamy pens and Visconti pens with their own strengths at different levels in the market place. But just how do the two compare with what you get for the money you spend?. Writing instruments within the Lamy pen range cost considerably less than the Visconti pen range. Regardless of price or area of market one thing to also to point out is that both these well known brands produce superb quality writing instruments. Here we look at a few of each from the product range to compare prices and products.

Lamy pens should probably be your first port of call if you are looking for something smart and very reasonably priced. A superb looking pen to consider would be the Lamy Safari which retails just over ten pounds. In this range you can buy fountain pens, ballpoint pens, rollerballs and retractable pencils too. Made from ABS plastic in a range of exciting colours there will be something to suit everyones taste. To add to its fancy look the high gloss chrome clip really is the icing on the cake for this very affordable pen.

Looking for something a little more special? Visconti pens will not disappoint with its outstanding Rembrandt series. The Rembrandt is also available in a number of pen types too like the Safari. The main materials used in the manufacturing of these pens are variegated resins in luscious colours. Each Visconti pen in this series has a platinum plated trim and clever innovative magnetized cap. All in all a superb looking writing instrument for the money you are spending.

For just a few more pounds why not consider the Accent series from the Lamy pens collection. The great thing about these pens is that they have a changeable lower barrel grip which means that you have two different looks for one price. The other main features of this Lamy pen is its high gloss black barrel and fancy polished steel clip. Having the two different lower barrels that you can swap between (either Briarwood or black and platinum rings) is a marvellous feature.

If money is no concern then why not consider the Venetia Silver in the Visconti pens collection. This pen is complete opulence. Manufactured from black resin and silver, with ornate detailed carving who would be impressed when you took out one to sign a cheque. On closer look it is quite apparent that the Visconti pen company used the beautiful Italian city of Venice for inspiration. The Venetia Silver retails at just under a cool one and half thousand pounds.
